SPIRALLINGS

Spriraling originated from a single spiral: one form repeated three times. When these elements interlock, function emerges. Each spiral is a continuous line that travels horizontally before descending to form a leg. Only through connection do they become whole, resolving into a stable, self-supporting table. No single component dominates; each is contingent on the others, equal in role and necessity. We are accustomed to encountering marble as flat planes, a continuous surface rich with depth, veining and tonal variation. In Spirallings, the interlocking forms disrupt that continuity. The veining is fractured and redirected, disrupting the visual rhythm.
